Finding folding tv tray tables is not to difficult and the prices for the folding trays are very reasonable. However if you are looking at higher end tables/stands then you your chances of them being of the folding variety will diminish. Simple reason is most of the higher end tray tables are made out of wood and at most you might be able to get the stand to swivel.
Just like tv trays make sure and look for features that best interest you and your needs. A lot of people want to make sure that tray has an extra wide top, edges and high sides to prevent spills and a large oval tray surface or rectangular surface.

The Oxford Tray Table offers wide edge and high sides. This would be perfect for our use but then we need to figure out if we could manage with a surface area dimension of: 9 x 16 inches. If you compare the two you will notice the price first off ($49) for the Oxford tray table compared to $68 but the surface area is also smaller.

These are just two examples to show you what is available out on the market today and as you know, things change rapidly in the furniture industry. If you are looking for folding tray tables then your best bet is to look for metal tray tables. Tray tables with stand? Make sure the stand is heavy enough and small enough to support whatever you are going to put on your table top so it doesn’t tip over. Tray tables Target offers very few tray tables instead they offer a lot of tv stands and tv stand sets. Nothing wrong with that but Target does have limited options with it comes to a true tray table.
In our home we like to eat in our living room or rec room. Tv stands has been the norm for many years but we are starting to lean towards tray tables because our kids like to have their laptops in front of them while they are watching tv. They also use tray tables with stand in their dorm rooms. Sometimes I wonder if we could rent these stands out each year to college students like they used to rent out refrigorators back when we were in school.
